If you are a newcomer and trying coffee enema for the very first time or if you are sensitive to caffeine, then we suggest you follow the below-mentioned steps for your first coffee enema.
Take 2 cups of filtered water in a pan and bring it to a boil. Turn down the heat and add 1 to 2 tablespoons of organic ground coffee to it. Allow the coffee to simmer for 10 minutes. Strain the concoction and add 4 cups of room temperature filtered water to it. Transfer half of the liquid to an enema kit such a rubber enema bag or a stainless steel enema kit and administer it. Retain the enema for 10-15 minutes.
Once you eliminate the enema along with other things from your system, see how you feel. For first-timers, it is very common to experience nausea or dizziness. This happens because a large number of toxins are getting eliminated from your body in one go.
As you get used to it, you can add more coffee to the mixture and can also use the entire 2-quart solution prepared. Coffee enemas are very powerful and can have extreme detox reactions sometimes. Thus it is always best to perform an enema under the guidance of your doctor, just in case.
Even if you’ve gotten really comfortable with the whole coffee enema procedure, never use more than 2 tablespoons of coffee/quart of water.
Be cautious about few things
Though coffee enema is absolutely safe to perform, there are few things you need to be a little cautious about when performing a coffee enema.
- Check the temperature of the water– Before you administer or even transfer the enema solution to the enema bag; make sure to check the temperature of the water. You want the water to be just lukewarm; it should neither be too hot or you may end up burning yourself.
- Lubricate the nozzle– Before inserting the nozzle, make sure to lubricate the tip of it. Also do not insert it too deep or more than three inches; anything more than this may injure you.
- Don’t forget to replace the lost minerals– Along with the waste, a lot of minerals and electrolytes too are lost from the body during the process of enema. Mineral infused water, coconut water, fresh fruit and vegetable juices are a must after performing an enema.
